Bungo Stray Dogs: STORM BRINGER (文豪ストレイドッグス ＳＴＯＲＭ ＢＲＩＮＧＥＲ, Bungō Sutorei Doggusu: STORM BRINGER) is the ninth light novel in the Bungo Stray Dogs series. It is set one year after Dazai, Chūya, Age Fifteen.
The novel was adapted into a stage play that ran in Summer 2022 and a manga illustrated by Shiwasu Hoshikawa to be serialized in January 2025.
It’s been roughly one year since Chūya Nakahara joined the Port Mafia, and he’s got his sights set on an executive position. But as he makes plans to move up, a man by the name of Paul Verlaine—claiming to be his older brother—appears and vows to assassinate everyone he cares about! Now, Chūya must team up with Adam, a European A.I. investigator, to stop this lunatic before the storm swallows Yokohama once again…

Just whose heart is this? Mine? No way. I’m not a human being. Something as gracious as a heart doesn’t suit me at all.”
▸ I absolutely love Stormbringer my entire life reading this changed me because it was absolutely heart-wrenching. This gave me a better understanding of Nakahara Chuuya’s life from the anime series. It just delved so much into Chuuya’s life, experiences, and learning on who he actually is. Kafka Asagiri’s writing is so vivid and gave life to every character he had written. I would pay to have my memory removed just so I can read this again for the first time.
